Manning completes workout for Titans

Free agent quarterback Peyton Manning presumably had his final throwing demonstration for interested NFL teams on Saturday.Manning worked out for Tennessee Titans representatives in Knoxville, the (Nashville) Tennesseean reported."I thought he looked comfortable and we had a good visit," Titans general manager Ruston Webster told Tennesseean reporter John Glennon. "This is another important step in the process."
Manning worked out for the Denver Broncos on Friday. John Elway, the Hall-of-Fame quarterback and Broncos executive, wrote on Twitter that he was impressed with what he saw:"We enjoyed visiting with Peyton today in N.C. He threw the ball great and looked very comfortable out there. . . . Watching him throw today was the next step in this important process for our team and Peyton. It was a productive visit and went well."The 49ers reportedly were the first team to watch Manning work out. Coach Jim Harbaugh and 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman traveled to Duke University in Durham, N.C. on Tuesday to watch a throwing session, as ESPN first reported.Duke football coach David Cutcliffe was Manning's offensive coordinator at the University of Tennessee. Cutcliffe said Saturday that Manning's release has impressed him, The Associated Press reported."He's throwing the ball well, and he'll get better," Cutcliffe said.Manning has informed the 49ers, Titans and Broncos that he will make a decision Monday or Tuesday, the NFL Network reported.
