Former 49ers quarterback and NFL Hall-of-Famer Joe Montana appeared on NBC SportsTalk on Thursday night and analyzed this weekend's Super Bowl XLVI between the Giants and Patriots. Joe Montana on Eli Manning's development: "I think he's found a way to come off the first guy (receiver) a little bit sooner, and finding different ways to keep the ball moving, instead of trying to make plays all the time. Quarterback's about making plays when they happen, but not trying to make plays unless it comes down to that part of the game where 'hey, I gotta make a throw, you know, to keep this thing alive.' And that's what I think has been the biggest change for him."

Montana on stopping Tom Brady:"The key is the Giants' front-four against Tom. If you can get Tom to play the way he played the last time they played during the regular season (a 24-20 Giants win in Week 9), then you got a chance to win. But if you can't move him around, and he stands in there, I don't think they got a chance."
