49ers defensive lineman Ray McDonald was arrested Wednesday morning for an outstanding warrant after his 2010 arrest for suspicion of driving under the influence, according to a report by the Contra Costa Times.
McDonald was arrested June 12 of last year for suspicion of driving under the influence in San Mateo County, and seemed remorseful at the time.

"I just want to apologize for making this a distraction because that's not my intent." McDonald said in a statement after the initial arrest. "My intent is to come out here and work hard and try to win ballgames. I don't want this to be a distraction for the fans, my family, my teammates."
He had a court date scheduled for July 22, where he pled no contest to driving under the influence. According to the Sacramento Bee, McDonald was put on probation and required to take the requisite DUI offender's class. On Aug. 9, a 7,500 warrant was issued for his arrest after McDonald either failed to complete the class, or provide proof of its completion.
Fast forward to Wednesday morning at 2 a.m. when McDonald was pulled over for a traffic violation by Sunnyvale Police and subsequently arrested when officers learned of his outstanding warrant.
The report indicates McDonald was cooperative and no other charges are being filed, but discipline from the 49ers or NFL could follow.

McDonald joins fellow defensive lineman Aldon Smith as 49ers who have been arrested this offseason, as Smith was arrested for driving under the influence Jan. 28 in Miami.
McDonald, 27, signed a five-year, 20 million contract in July, and followed it up with his best year. In his fifth NFL season -- all with the 49ers -- McDonald recorded career-highs with 29 tackles, 5.5 sacks, and two forced fumbles.
