Right guard Adam Snyder, whose ascension into the 49ers' starting lineup early last season coincided with improved offensive production, is scheduled for a free-agent visit with the Arizona Cardinals on Wednesday, reports the team's official website. The Cardinals will meet with Snyder, guard Jake Scott (Tennessee) and tackle Demetrius Bell (Buffalo), reports AZCardinals.com.
Snyder, a seven-year pro, was a third-round draft pick of the 49ers in 2005. He has played every position during his career, including 13 regular-season starts at right guard last season.Snyder replaced Chilo Rachal as the 49ers' right guard at halftime of the 49ers' third game of the season. Running back Frank Gore went on to record a team-record with consecutive 100-yard rushing games over the next five weeks.
The 49ers presented Snyder with a proposal for a contract extension during the season, a source told CSNBayArea.com. However, the source described it as "low ball" offer.
