SEATTLE -- Tight end Delanie Walker returned from a local hospital to rejoin his 49ers teammates for the team's return to the Bay Area on Saturday evening.
Walker sustained what was believed to be a significant jaw injury that places into question his availability for the playoffs. The 49ers (12-3) return home with a 19-17 victory.
Coach Jim Harbaugh did not update Walker's condition. Tight end Vernon Davis said he spoke with Walker but did not know if he'd be able to play again this season."I'll keep my faith and keep my hopes up and pray for him," Davis said. "But we'll see."

Walker sustained the injury when Seattle Seahawks linebacker Leroy Hill inadvertently kicked him while Walker was on the ground after a cut block on a run play in the first quarter.
Walker's helmet flew off and he remained on the ground for several minutes, holding a towel over the left side of his jaw. He was taken off the field on a cart. Also, receiver Kyle Williams sustained a head injury in the fourth quarter after he was sandwiched by two Seattle players after slipping and falling on a kickoff return. Former 49ers special-teamer Michael Robinson was penalized for an illegal helmet-to-helmet hit on Williams."They say I'm not allowed to talk to you," Williams said when approached by a reporter in the locker room. It's NFL policy that a player who sustains concussion-like symptoms is not allowed to speak to the media after a game in which the injury occurs.
