Gore will start for 49ers

SAN FRANCISCO -- The 49ers have five cornerbacks active for Sunday's game against the Arizona Cardinals.Tarell Brown, whose right knee bothered him late in the week, and veteran cornerback Shawntae Spencer are both in uniform for the game Sunday.
Veteran safety Madieu Williams is inactive for the first time this season. Williams started the first two games of the season but has been relegated to special-teams play for several weeks.Running back Frank Gore (knee) will start and see his usual workload. The 49ers announced no lineup changes.Brown appeared on the 49ers' injury report Friday with a "banged-up" knee but he will be in uniform for the game.Spencer, an eight-year veteran, will also be available to help out against Cardinals receiver Larry Fitzgerald. Spencer and Fitzgerald were college teammates at Pitt. And Spencer has played well in the past against Fitzgerald.Spencer has not had any significant role since the 49ers' Week 4 game at Philadelphia. He sustained a hyperextended toe -- commonly known as "turf toe."
