BOX SCORE

SAN FRANCISCO -- Barry Zito absorbed his first home loss of the season in the Giants' 5-0 loss to Texas. But with how inept the Giants' offense was against the Rangers, anything short of a shutout, obviously, would not have mattered."He battled," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said of Zito. "He wasn't quite as sharp."Two home runs surrendered -- one of the second pitch of the game to Ian Kinsler, and the other a hanging curve to Josh Hamilton -- were more than enough for the Rangers, who had just dropped three of four to the A's across the Bay."You don't ever want that," Zito said of the leadoff homer to left field. "It was just a fastball up. He was hacking and caught up to it."And Hamilton's bomb to dead center?"Not a lot of guys can drive it to that part of the park," Zito said. "He's a strong guy."Playing for the first time since memorably, and painfully, fouling consecutive pitches off his lower left leg on Sunday, catcher Hector Sanchez had a nasty looking bruise covering basically his entire shin."I've had worse," Sanchez said in Spanish, before the game. "I'll be fine."Worse? Sanchez said he took one off his right leg in spring training.Angel Pagan is the resident boxing expert in the Giants clubhouse. So who is his pick to win Saturday night's fight between Manny Pacquiao and Tim Bradley?"Pacquiao's going to knock him out in the 10th round," Pagan said. "That's my prediction, my man."Because he's the best. Bradley is a strong fighter and he had a strong camp, but he's never fought anybody this strongI'm a big boxing fan, but in this case, I'm a big Pacquiao fan."So there.
