Ford, Moore jogging — returning soon?

ALAMEDA -- Injured wideouts Jacoby Ford and Denarius Moore were spotted jogging at the Raiders compound Monday morning, lending credence to the notion that one or both could potentially play Sunday against Detroit at the O.co Coliseum.Just don't ask coach Hue Jackson how close they are to returning. Clearly, he's just as frustrated as the playersand fans."You want degrees, you want days? Honestly, I don't know," Jackson said with a smile in his weekly media conference on Monday. "I quit speculating. I'm not going to worry about it. When they give me those players back, I'm going to take them with open arms and we're going to put them out there, because that would mean they are ready to play."When they go, 'Hue, you got them and you can practice with them,' then I'll know they're ready. But I'm not going to get into that. I'm going to take the guys we have and get these guys better. We're going to get our focus right and get ready to play a game here at home."Ford has not practiced since spraining his left foot catching a long pass at San Diego on Nov. 10 while Moore injured his right anklefoot returning a punt at Minnesota on Nov. 20.So the fact that the two playmakers were running around had to be good news for the Raiders (7-6) as they prepare for the final three games, right?"That's much better," Jackson allowed. "It's very encouraging that they're out there doing more than what they did last week, this early in the week. I think that's good. I think it bodes well for the future."But again, until someone tells me, 'You got 'em,' I'm not going to speculate on them."Also, there was no update on running back Darren McFadden, who reportedly has a Lisfranc injury to his right foot, rather than a mere mid-foot sprain, in going down on Oct. 23."Whether you use the word Lisfranc or mid-foot, to me they're all the same," Jackson said. "Now, there's different degrees of a Lisfranc injury, and I think we all understand that, or a mid-foot injury. To me, theyre all the samenobodys trying to mislead anybody."What we've got to do is figure out which one he has, and I think our doctors and people are working through it. You guys have seen him running around a little bit, trying to get back out there, but I still think we need some time, and then we'll get therehe does not need surgery. That much I do know. You guys can write that. Darren McFadden does not need surgery."But quarterback Jason Campbell did require surgery after breaking a collarbone on Oct. 16. He underwent the procedure the next afternoon and said he hoped to return in six weeks. It has now been eight weeks. The Raiders acquired Carson Palmer on Oct. 18. Campbell will be a free agent after this season."He's not out there yet," Jackson said of Campbell. "I think he's getting closer. I still think he's still a little ways away from having an opportunity to come out there and play and throw the ball."He's a little bit further away thanwe all think he is."
