Chat alert:Chat with Raiders Insider Paul Gutierrez tonight at 6:30 p.m. leading up to tonight's preseason game in Arizona!

Editor's Note: This is the second of four questions answered by Raiders Insider Paul Gutierrez. Each new question, or down, will be posted as gametime approaches.

First down: Will Jacoby Ford bounce back?

Second down: How many starters are sitting this one out?

Third down: Will Mike Goodson see game action?

To quote Blackstreet: "No diggity, no doubt." Goodson missed last week's opener after his scary-looking neck injury that ended with him being strapped to a gurney, taken off the field in an ambulance and being released from the hospital that night, so he is eager to show his wares. Especially since he is in a race to be Darren McFadden's primary backup with the injured Taiwan Jones, who is missing his second consecutive game with a strained hamstring.

Goodson practiced this week, though neither Wednesday nor Thursday were full-pad practices, so it's a safe bet to assume that he will not get as many carries against the Cardinals as Lonyae Miller did against the Cowboys. Miller had a game-high 15 carries for 39 yards on Monday, so with Goodson back, those numbers figure to dip.
