Sanjay Lal, the Raiders' receivers coach since 2009, has left Oakland to assume the same position with the New York Jets, the Jets announced Friday afternoon.Lal, though, was still listed on the Raiders' Web Site. He joined the Raiders in 2007 as the quality control assistant while working with the receivers.

With Lal as Oakland's receivers coach, the Raiders' receiving game rose from averaging 179.7 receiving yards per game in 2009 (which ranked 29th) to 216.9 yards in 2010 (22nd) to 257.4 last season (11th).And while new general manager Reggie McKenzie said the incoming coach would hire his own staff, expect former Raiders receiver Cliff Branch's name to be thrown into the hopper.
