Raiders notebook: No new coach, six new players

WhileRaiders offensive coordinator Hue Jackson has interviewed with the49ers and Stanford coach Jim Harbaugh is reportedly in discussions withthem this evening, the Raiders say there is no update on theircoaching search.

This some 24 hours after Tom Cable was informed his contract was not being renewed by the team.We havent talked to anybody, said Raiders senior executive John Herrera. We havent done anything. There is no timeline.

The only other news out of Alameda Wednesday was the team signing sixplayers to reservefuture contracts WRs Damola Adeniji and ShaunBodiford, TE Kevin Brock, G Alex Parsons, CB Joe Porter and FB ManaseTonga. All were on the Raiders practice squad at the end of the season.Still, in what could be seen as a shot across the bow of the SSLechler, the Raiders signed punter Glenn Pakulak to a reserve-futurecontract.Herrera said there would be more announcements regarding similar signings on Thursday.What's your take?
