Raiders re-sign DL Bryant

ALAMEDA -- The Raiders announced Wednesday they have re-signed restricted free agent defensive lineman Desmond Bryant, who has been practicing all along with the team after signing an injury waiver.Bryant, who made the team in 2009 as an undrafted free agent from Harvard, started 10 of the 16 games he played in last season while setting career highs in sacks (five) and tackles (35, with 30 solo). The 6-foot-5, 290-pounder has played both defensive end and tackle but played mostly in place of the injured Matt Shaughnessy at right defensive end last season.He has played in 47 career games and has 7 12 sacks with a pass defensed, two forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
