He played in a career-low nine games with a career-worst 30 tackles and did not have a sack for the first time in his career. But defensive tackle John Henderson apparently made enough of an impact to warrant the Raiders making a two-year, 8-million investment in him. While ESPN is reporting Oaklands re-signing of the 6-feet-7, 335-pound nine-year veteran and CSN California has confirmed it, Raiders senior executive John Herrera had no comment on the report.Henderson, 32, missed seven of the first nine games with a stress fracture in his foot but he was a positive influence in the Raiders locker room, especially for the younger and first-year players. In what was supposed to be his breakout gameat Jacksonville, against his previous teamHenderson had only two tackles and a pass defensed in the 38-31 loss to the Jaguars. But two weeks later, Henderson had a career high-tying 11 tackles against Indianapolis. The Raiders obviously believe he still has something left in the tank.
