ALAMEDA -- Their roster down to 75 players, the Raiders began practice Monday down six injured players.Defensive tackle Richard Seymour (knee), receivers Denarius Moore (right hamstring) and Jacoby Ford (left foot), center Stefen Wisniewski (right calf), tight end Richard Gordon (ribs) and linebacker Aaron Curry (knees) all walked out to observe practice as the media window closed.Ford, it should be pointed out, was out of his walking boot.Curry, meanwhile, has yet to practice since training camp began in late July. That makes it more likely that he could be placed on the regular-season Physically Unable to Perform list. If that happened, it would keep him off the active roster for six weeks, which would be five games for the Raiders with their bye week coming after the fourth game.
The Patriots have placed Rob Gronkowski on injured reserve, officially ending the injured tight end's season.
The Patriots have added running back D.J. Foster to the 53-man roster.
Gronkowski underwent surgery on his back Friday in Los Angeles. There was some hope he might be able to return if the Patriots reached the Super Bowl, but this move ends that.
