Tommy Kelly has reportedly found a new home.

The former Raiders defensive tackle, who signed a seven-year, $50.5-million deal with Al Davis in 2008 before being released by second-year general manager Reggie McKenzie on March 27, has signed a two-year deal with New England, according to the NFL Network.

Kelly, 32, was initially an undrafted free agent out of Mississippi State in TKKK, did not miss a game since 2007 and had seven sacks in 2010 and 7 1/2 sacks in 2011. But his production fell off in 2012 with 1 1/2 sacks.

With that large contract -- he did restructure last year -- Kelly's was seen as the epitome of the "out-of-whack" contracts McKenzie referred to when he took over as Oakland's G.M. And Kelly will have a "dead money" salary cap number of $6.324 million for the Raiders in 2013.

No figures for Kelly's new contract were reported, though it's a safe bet he will count more against the Raiders' cap this season than he will toward the Patriots' cap.
