Denver Broncos offensive coordinator Mike McCoy, reportedly a Raiders head coaching candidate, turned down a scheduled interview with Oakland general manager Reggie McKenzie on Wednesday, according to the Denver Post. The reason: McCoy chose instead to fly to New York for a second interview with the Miami Dolphins about their head coaching vacancy. The Miami Herald reported McCoy is one of three finalists for the Dolphins gig, along with former interim coach Todd Bowles and Green Bay offensive coordinator Joe Philbin. All three men have been linked to the Raiders' vacancy as well.McCoy, who grew up in Novato, initially interviewed in South Florida on Monday but will meet with Dolphins owner Stephen Ross, who has an office in New York City, and other team officials. The Raiders have not made any statements on potential coaching candidates or returned messages seeking comment.
