Report: RG Brisiel to visit Raiders Thursday

And the Raiders are starting to dip their toes into the NFL's free agent pool.Houston right guard Mike Brisiel will visit the Raiders on Thursday, according to Fox 26 in Houston, and thus, will be the first free agent to visit Oakland.Brisiel's visit will come some 24 hours after the Raiders released right guard Cooper Carlisle and Brisiel will find a couple of familiar faces at 1220 Harbor Bay Parkway in offensive coordinator Greg Knapp and offensive line coach Frank Pollack, both of whom were with the Texans last year.

With the Raiders switching to a zone-blocking scheme, the 6-feet-5, 310-pound Brisiel would seemingly make a smoother-than-usual transition, having played in it in Houston since joining the Texans as an undrafted free agent out of Colorado State in 2006.
