ALAMEDA -- With the Raiders employing a plethora of nickel defenses against Atlanta's high-octane, four-wideouts offense, Rolando McClain was missing in action for much of the game Sunday.McClain, the No. 8 overall pick of the 2010 draft and Oakland's purported game-changing cornerstone middle linebacker, played in just 17 of the Raiders' 55 defensive snaps against the Falcons in the 23-20 loss. Fellow linebackers Miles Burris, a rookie, and Philip Wheeler, a first-year Raider, appeared in all 55 snaps. So where was McClain?"He was delivering water to Burris an Wheeler," former Raiders linebacker Bill Romanowski cracked on Comcast California's Raiders Press Conference Live Monday. "Water and Gatorade"Romanowski has been a vocal critic of McClain's this season. Two weeks ago he referred to McClain as a "puppy hunterlittle white poodles," on the show after McClain played 73 of 77 snaps in the Raiders' 37-6 loss at Denver. This time?"I can't call him anything but Mr. McClain right now," Romanowski said. "He doesn't deserve to be called by his first name.""If he was one of the guys, if he was out there kicking ass, he'd be 'Ro,'" Romanowski said. "He's Mr. McClain until I see him go out and crack some heads like he did in the first game. Because he's got that ability."
