CB Porter linked to Allen, Raiders

As expected, New Orleans free agent cornerback Tracy Porter has been linked to the Raiders.Oakland needs a veteran cornerback and Porter played for new Raiders coach Dennis Allen when Allen was the Saints secondary coach as recently as two years ago.According to ESPN, Porter is visiting Cincinnati today but is also in talks with the Raiders and the Saints.Last season, Porter had a "burn rate" of 68.1 percent, surrendering completions 47 of the 69 times he was targeted, with three touchdowns surrendered, per STATS Inc. By comparison, Stanford Routt had a burn rate of 47.4 percent and gave up eight touchdowns.The 5-feet-11, 185-pound Porter, a second-round draft pick of the Saints out of Indiana in 2008, has seven career interceptions in 43 games, 39 starts.The Raiders have already cut Routt and Chris Johnson and second-year players Chimdi Chekwa and DeMarcus Van Dyke are the only pure cornerbacks currently on the roster.
