Huff: I'm not going to miss this one

ALAMEDA -- Coming into this season, Michael Huff had never missed a football game due to injury.Ever. At any level. Now, this season alone, the Raiders' second-team All-Pro free safety has missed four games, after his strained hamstring sidelined him for the second straight week, Saturday at Kansas City. But with so much on the line this coming weekend, Huff does not plan on missing his fifth game of the season."I'll be out there," Huff said Monday morning. "I'm not going to miss this one."His absence in the Raiders secondary has been particularly felt the past two weeks, though especially against Detroit when the Lions roared back with their fourth-quarter comeback. Huff previously missed games at San Diego and against New England with a sprained ankle."This is a one-game season," said Huff, who has 32 tackles and two interceptions in 11 games. "I'm going to go out there and play and give my all. I don't really worry about if I play this week that I may injure it for the playoffs because if we don't win, the playoffs (won't) happen. This is a one-game season."It feels good to be this close. It's been a while since it's been like this around here. It's a good feeling. We know we have to go out there and handle our business this week and everything will take care of itself."Still, even if the Raiders defeat San Diego, they still need Denver to lose at home to Kansas City to win the AFC West.To win the wild card, the Raiders must win and then have Cincinnati lose at home to Baltimore and have Tennessee lose at or tie Houston; or the Raiders must win and have Cincinnati lose and the New York Jets win at Miami."Tough to root for the Chiefs," Huff said with a laugh."We need to this week. I'm just rooting for the Raiders. If we go out and play our game, everything will take care of itself."
