McFadden ruled out of Sunday's game

ALAMEDA -- As expected, running back Darren McFadden has been ruled out of Sunday's sold-out home game against Denver with his sprained right foot.

McFadden was injured in Oakland's first series against Kansas City on Oct. 23 and was seen this week at the team facility still on crutches and wearing a walking boot. He entered that game as the NFL's leading rusher but after picking up just four yards on two carries in that eventual 28-0 loss, and with the Raiders having their bye week last week, he has slipped to No. 8 in the league.

With 614 yards on 113 carries, McFadden is averaging 5.4 yards per carry. He has missed at least three games in each of his first three seasons due to injury.

Michael Bush, who has 237 yards on 60 carries, will pick up the slack at running back, with rookie Taiwan Jones' workload sure to pick up as well. Jones has carried the ball five times for 30 yards.
