No sign of GM candidates at Raiders headquarters

ALAMEDA -- Its all quiet on the Raiders front, as the day came and went at the Raiders' practice facility.

Despite several published reports, there were no signs of any GM candidates in the house to interview for the Raiders' vacant GM position.

That includes former Oakland linebacker Reggie McKenzie, who is currently the Green Bay Packers director of football operations.

I saw several cars come and go through the restricted access fence, including CEO Amy Trask and head coach Hue Jackson, but there was no sign of owner Mark Davis, whom I assume would need to be there for the interview process to take place.

In conversations with several Raiders employees who spoke off the record, the Raiders hope to fill their GM spot as soon as possible in order to move forward with player personnel decisions in a timely manner, and that includes preparations for the upcoming NFL Draft in April.
