ALAMEDA -- Raiders cornerback Chris Johnson was not with the team Wednesday as he was back in the Dallas area in the wake of a shooting that left his sister dead and his mother wounded.According to a story in the Fort Worth Star-Telegram on Monday, "An argument prompted a 46-year-old man to fatally shoot his daughter's mother at a Fort Worth apartment complex Monday afternoon and wound the girl's grandmother."Said Raiders coach Hue Jackson: "This is a game of football. The thing he's dealing with is a game of life. We'll get him back here pretty soon. Very, very tough situation that he's dealing with. But the organization supports him, I support him, he'll get back here and be ready to go."Jackson said he expected Johnson to be back with the team on Sunday.Following is the rest of the article:"Eugene Esters had at one time lived at La Plaza apartment complex off Woodhaven Boulevard with 33-year-old Jennifer Johnson but had been told to move out, according to the report.Homicide detectives say they believe that Esters had slept in his car Sunday night because he wanted to see his 2 12-year-old daughter on Monday.Shortly after 3 p.m. on Monday, however, Esters had an argument with Johnson and shot the woman several times, the report states.Johnsons' mother, 53-year-old Della Johnson, had come to the complex to jump-start her daughter's car and was also shot by Esters but is expected to survive her injury, police say.The couple's daughter and an older child belonging to Jennifer Johnson were away at the time of the shooting, police say.Esters was arrested at the scene and booked into jail on suspicion of murder and attempted murder.
