CALGARYSharks goaltender Antti Niemi will make his eighth straight start tonight against the Flames.

Its time to play. Hes our go-to guy, and its the go-to time of year, Todd McLellan said hours before the game.

Hes done this before and we expect him to be elite.

Niemi, who allowed two goals on 22 shots on Monday in Edmonton, recorded a 1-0 shutout in his last appearance in Calgary on Jan. 24.
KURZ: Sharks-Flames, what to watch for

Forward Tommy Wingels, however, will not play. He suffered an upper-body injury in the third period against the Oilers and is unavailable against the Flames.

He came back to the bench and was in some discomfort, and was still a little bit sore today," McLellan said.

Wingels took a hard, headfirst check into the boards last Thursday in Dallas, but McLellan said the injury is not head-related.

McLellan, who will ice the same defense corps against the Flames as he did against the Oilers, talked about his message for tonights game.

KURZ: Back-to-back may benefit Sharks

Theyve scored the first goal in 11 straight games and that gets them a lot of wins. Were going to talk about starting properly, investing in the game, and well worry about the score in the end when we do everything were supposed to do from minute one to minute 60.
