Pavelski latest victim of the flu

SAN JOSEJoe Pavelski was absent from the teams practice facility on Friday, the third Sharks player to fall victim to a nasty flu bug that seems to be making its way through the team.

He has managed to pick up that flu bug that Dan Boyle had, so its a maintenance day for him, said Todd McLellan. We fully expect him to play tomorrow.

Boyle fought through the flu bug for most of the recently completed road trip, including the final two games in New York, but didnt miss any action. Earlier in the year, Patrick Marleau missed three days of practice with the illness, but fortunately for him it came when the team had a six-day break between its first and second games.

Pavelski is the Sharks leading scorer with eight goals and 13 points.

The Sharks host the Nashville Predators on Saturday.
