WASHINGTON, DC - The Sharks activated forward Tommy Wingels from injured reserve on Monday, and its possible he will play against the Washington Capitals at Verizon Center tonight.
Wingels, 23, appeared to hurt his left shoulder in the third period of a game against Ottawa on Jan. 19 when he collided with Chris Neil. He was playing well at the time of his injury, even seeing time on the Sharks top line with Joe Thornton and Joe Pavelski.
He played a career high of 21 minutes and 23 seconds in the game before he was hurt on Jan. 17 against Calgary, and scored his first career NHL goal in the Sharks 4-3 loss in Chicago on Jan. 15.

Alex Stalock, 24, is continuing his recovery from a serious nerve injury behind his knee, suffered more than a year ago while playing goal in Worcester. In six games with the ECHLs Stockton Thunder, Stalock was 5-1-0 with a 2.83 goals-against average and .914 save percentage.
Jason Demers remains on I.R. with a lower body injury, but is expected to return soon.
