SAN ANTONIO -- The Warriors are expected to sign guard Nate Robinson, according to team sources. Bay Area News Group first reported the story.Robinson played 59 games last season -- 55 for the Boston Celtics and four for the Oklahoma City Thunder. The Thunder and Robinson mutually agreed to part ways before training camp began this season. He will likely challenge Charles Jenkins, Ish Smith and Klay Thompson for backcourt minutes.

The signing could come as soon as Wednesday. Robinson is expected to wear jersey No. 2.
Hes the only player in the NBA to have ever won three slam dunk titles.

Messages were left for Warriors general manager Larry Riley and Robinsons agent, Aaron Goodwin.

Sacramento Kings rookie guard Isaiah Thomas first reported the Warriors were going to sign Robinson on Twitter. Heres the tweet: Thaniel 2 the Golden State Warriors... We gon be kickin it tough now since we close to each other @nate_robinsonIsaiah Thomas went to the University of Washington, like Robinson.Robinsons signing will bring the Warriors roster to 15, meaning they dont have to waive a player to add him. However, Robinsons signing will certainly have an impact on rookie Charles Jenkins playing time and perhaps may even affect whether the Warriors keep Ish Smith or not.
