SAN JOSE - San Jose Earthquakes defender Kip Colvey successfully underwent a procedure to repair a broken finger in his left hand on Thursday that was sustained during his time with the New Zealand National Team. The surgery was performed by Dr. Rob Kamal and is expected to sideline him for two to four weeks.

Colvey, 22, has appeared in four games (three starts) for San Jose so far during his rookie season, tallying one assist. The former Cal Poly Mustang recently helped the New Zealand All-Whites win the OFC Nations Cup and qualify for the 2017 FIFA Confederations Cup in Russia.
