Raiders running back Darren McFadden is likely to miss the remainder of the 2011 season, according to a report from the NFL Network.

The report cites team sources who were also doubtful about McFadden's chances of returning in the postseason, if the team were to advance.
When asked about the possibility of adding a backup to McFadden and Taiwan Jones, who have missed a combined nine games for Oakland, head coach Hue Jackson said it was too late in the season."... I felt like I was going to get these guys back," Jackson said Wednesday. "Again, bringing somebody else in to be here for whatever time that is (remaining in the season)? No. Obviously, if I had known that Darren was going to be, you know, gone as long as he has been, maybe you go about it."Mystery has surrounded McFadden's injury, sustained October 23th against the Kansas City Chiefs. The team called it a mid-foot sprain, while reports surfaced that he had a season-ending Lisfranc injury. The Raiders take on the Lions today at 1 p.m. from the O.co Coliseum.
