Palmer limited with thumb injury

ALAMEDA -- Carson Palmer was an addition to Oakland's injury report Thursday with a sore right thumb and was listed as being limited in practice. The Raiders quarterback initially banged the thumb Sunday in Cincinnati, though he was able to take every snap in practice on Wednesday.

"Today his thumb was a little sore," said coach Dennis Allen. "We limited his reps. Hes another one well have to see as we go through the remainder of the week where hes at."

Offensive coordinator Greg Knapp was asked if he was confident Palmer would play against Cleveland.

"One hundred percent confident he'll be fine," Knapp said.
