Pryor: I'm angry at myself

OAKLAND -- It was the first time Terrelle Pryor took a meaningful snap in a football game since Jan. 4, 2011, the Sugar Bowl, and before scandal essentially ended his college career at Ohio State.Pryor played the entire second half for the Raiders in their eventual 3-0 loss to Dallas in both team's exhibition opener and, well, we'll let him describe his play."I'm angry at myself," Pryor said as he sat at his locker. "I don't think I played well. I thought Matt (Leinart) played great. I thought Carson (Palmer) played great. I thought everyone else on the team played great. I just think I played like dog crap."So I'm mad about that, about how I played today. So I'm angry and I'm going to come back stronger next week."A pretty harsh self-assessment for Al Davis' last draft pick, no?Pryor finished eight of 15 for 50 yards, with two sacks and an interception. His passer rating? An unsightly 32.6. He did, however, run for 21 yards on six carries."I was pleased he was able to get out there and get some reps and get some experience," said coach Dennis Allen. "Obviously, we have to do a little better job getting in and out of the huddle, and getting the play snapped a little bit sooner, but those are all things that can be corrected."He's a work in progress and just like I've always talked about, I want to see him get a little better every day."Pryor's showed his erratic arm and his "sinker" was on display, as were his ankle-breaking moves. In the end, though, they simply were not enough against the Cowboys. Even if Palmer thought Pryor had something to grow from in his outing."Just proud of the way he fought and fought and fought," Palmer said. "Things didn't go right, but he kept fighting."I'll be there for Terrelle, he knows that. But hes a very confident guy, obviously very talented. Hes played quarterback for long enough to know you cant show negative body language. Hes bummed mentally, but hes a champ. Hes a professional, and for being so young, hell bounce back. I cant wait to watch him play again next week."The Raiders play at Arizona on Friday."I thought my progressions were a little better," Pryor said. "I think sometimes I had some good throws but alsomy feet were messing up. I just played like dog crap, and Im mad. Im mad at myself. Its my fault we lost, Im mad about that too."
