Raiders' culture change results in better defense?

The Raiders' offense should be just fine in 2012, thank you very much, and with everyone in Silver and Blackdom crossing their fingers for a healthy season from Darren McFadden. But what about the defense, which ranked a grisly 29th overall last season?According to the NFL Network's Jamie Dukes, the culture change under general manager Reggie McKenzie and coach Dennis Allen should pay dividends on the defensive side of the ball.On the network's "32 Teams In 32 Days" feature, Dukes referenced said cultural change."I think that's the biggest thing that the Raiders needed," Dukes said. "Everything I heard coming out of Oakland was the inmates were running the asylum, and I've always heard that for many years, and that there wasn't accountability to the players to do things they way all the other teams in the league do it."Enter McKenzie."He cleans house," Dukes said. "He understands what it is to be a championhe knows how franchises are supposed to be run."By virtue of that, I believe that defensively they're going to clean some things up. Because a lot of times it's just players not knowing where they're supposed to be, doing stupid things, and now you have a different level of accountability."As you'd expect, video accompanying Dukes' comments was not flattering, showing the Raiders' secondary routinely being torched, highlighted (lowlighted?) by Calvin Johnson beating Rolando McClain downfield.
