The Raiders have re-signed guard Cooper Carlisle, the team announced Monday.

The 12-year veteran has started 79 of 80 games since joining the Raiders in 2007.

In 2011, the Raiders allowed a franchise-low 25 sacks, a figure that ranked third best in the NFL.

We are pleased to have Cooper, who has been a valued member of the offensive line, back with us," said new Raiders GM Reggie McKenzie.

The former Florida Gator was drafted by the Broncos in the fourth round of the 2000 NFL Draft.

He played seven seasons for the Raiders' bitter rival, and made 38 starts.
