ALAMEDA -- Richard Seymour has missed the past two games -- blowout losses by scores of 55-20 in Baltimore and 38-17 to New Orleans -- with a strained hamstring and, to a lesser degree, a sore knee. The defensive tackle, who had only missed three games in his previous three seasons with the Raiders, said he hopes to return Sunday at Cincinnati."Im doing everything I can in terms of working with the trainers and definitely I want to be out there with the guys," Seymour said. "I was on the sideline yesterday and felt kind of helpless. I know coaching isnt in my gig.RELATED: Richard Seymour 2012 game logs
"In terms of my knee, my knee feels great, still a hamstring issue right now. Once thats gone Ill be back out there."The knee has been a somewhat chronic issue the last eight years, he said"I mean, its always something that Ive had to manage throughout my career," Seymour said. "My knee is not a problem. I feel like Ive got another 100,000 miles on it, but in terms of my hamstring, its a different issue and Im working hard with the trainers. Its something that Ive had throughout my career. Ive always had to manage my hamstrings, got so much torque when I get down in my stance, coming off the ball."But Im sure Ill be back when its ready."
