Seymour fined for hit on Cassel

ALAMEDA -- Raiders defensive tackle Richard Seymour has been fined 15,750 for an "unnecessary late hit" on Kansas City quarterback Matt Cassel.Late in the Raiders' 26-16 defeat of the Chiefs on Sunday, Seymour was flagged for "roughing the passer" when Cassel threw an incompletion to Jamaal Charles from the Raiders' 20-yard line. One play later, Cassel hit Dexter McCluster for a 10-yard touchdown with 2:27 to play.The Seymour flag was just the Raiders' second penalty of the day.Earlier in the week, Chiefs linebacker Tamba Hali accused the Raiders of being a "dirty" team, a charge Seymour denied."Any time you play the game, you should play with a chip on your shoulder," Seymour told Kansas City media in a conference call. "You should play with an attitude."But in terms of being dirty, going out to hurt guys, I dont think I play that way or any of my teammates (play dirty). I dont stand for it. But we do play tough and physical. I do believe thats the way the game is supposed to be played. I respect guys that play the same way."Seymour declined to comment Friday.
