What are the Raiders contemplating with Curry?

ALAMEDA -- While Raiders coach Dennis Allen said Wednesday "our anticipation is we will activate" linebacker Aaron Curry for Sunday's game against Tampa Bay, Allen seemed to take a step back on Friday."It will be a thought," Allen said of activating Curry off the PUP list to the 53-man roster. "But we dont have to make that decision right now."Plus, the Raiders have a pair of injured linebackers in Keenan Clayton, who did not practice at all this week with a hurt shoulder and was listed as doubtful to play, and Rolando McClain, who has a toe issue that made him questionable."Well know more about where Rolando is (Saturday)," Allen said, "and that will help us as far as making any type of decisions."Well have a plan either way. Well have a plan either way."So has Curry, who was sidelined with knee issues that prompted stem-cell treatments during training camp, shown enough in two-plus weeks of practice to be activated, does Allen still need to see more, or do circumstances dictate a move?"Ill make that decision, probably, whenever I need to, whenever I feel its the right thing for our football team, and weve still got time to do that," Allen said. "Im not going to make that decision before I have to."The Raiders have to decide by Wednesday whether to activate Curry, waive him or place him on season-ending Injured Reserve.
