ALAMEDA -- With Jacoby Ford officially out of Monday night's season opener for the Raiders, return duties have fallen to one familiar face, and one new face.Taiwan Jones will return kickoffs against San Diego and the recently acquired Phillip Adams will return punts."Any time coach wants to put the ball in my hands, Im excited," Jones said following Saturday night's practice at O.co Coliseum. "Im glad to be out there."As a rookie last season, Jones returned eight kickoffs for 165 yards. In the preseason, he returned two for 34 yards."You've just got to hit it running," he said. "You cant be hesitant because the holes close so fast."Adams, meanwhile, has returned four punts in his career -- none since 2010 with the 49ers -- for 29 yards.Still, Jones is hoping the Raiders receive the opening kick, not only to get rid of any butterflies, but to set a certain tone against the Chargers."Actually Ill be happy because once the game is starting, I want to be in there that first play," Jones said. "I want to get the first hit in early. If were returning it, then Im all for it."
