49ers local pro day set for next Wednesday

The 49ers' local pro day is set for Wednesday, April 18, at the team's practice facility in Santa Clara.Many lesser-known players from the area schools will take part in drills. Also, players from the area who attended colleges elsewhere are eligible to attend.For instance, Utah State running back Robert Turbin, who attended Irvington High in Fremont, is allowed to participate. Turbin (5-10, 222) rushed for 2,800 yards and 32 touchdowns the past two seasons, and is expected to be a mid-round draft pick. However, Turbin will not work out that day. Instead, the 49ers have scheduled him to visit on another day.Here is a look at the draft-eligible prospects from Cal, Stanford and San Jose State who took part in their schools' pro days.
