SANTA CLARA -- Running back Frank Gore and wide receiver Mario Manningham returned to full practice Thursday and look as if they will be unlimited in the 49ers' game Monday night at the Arizona Cardinals.Gore, who sustained bruised ribs in the first half of 49ers' 13-6 victory Oct. 18 against the Seattle Seahawks, was removed from the game in the middle of the fourth quarter. He told CSNBayArea.com that he is feeling fine.
Manningham did not suit up against the Seahawks after sustaining a right shoulder injury in the previous game against the New York Giants. For the first time all season, running back Brandon Jacobs was not listed on the injury report. Jacobs has not seen action in a game since sustaining a left knee strain Aug. 18 in the exhibition season.Left tackle Joe Staley is the only 49ers player who did not participate fully in practice. He was out with an undisclosed illness.Quarterback Alex Smith, who sustained a sprain to the middle finger on his throwing hand on Oct. 7 against the Buffalo Bills, said the extended time between games has helped his finger improve. Smith has not missed any practice time due to the injury."It's getting better every week," Smith said. "It's just something you deal with. It's not something I think about a whole lot out there -- try not to."
