Gore hopes to see Bears at their best

SANTA CLARA -- Running back Frank Gore hobbled out of Candlestick Park on Sunday, showing the signs of a player who was willing to do anything to prevent the 49ers from losing to the St. Louis Rams."Whatever it takes to try to get a win," said Gore, who rushed for 97 tough yards and one touchdown on 21 attempts in the 49ers' 24-24 tie.REWIND: Tie game leaves Gore feeling sore
He underwent X-rays on his ribs and right hand, but checked out fine. This week, he is back to work and does not expect to miss any practice time leading up to the 49ers' game Monday night against the Chicago Bears."I'm all right. I'm cool," Gore said Wednesday. "I just have sore ribs, a bruised hand. It's football. (I) ran around (Wednesday). (I'll) be ready for Monday."And Gore said he hopes the Bears are ready, too.Quarterback Alex Smith, who was cleared to practice Wednesday, is expected to be back in the 49ers' lineup after exiting Sunday with a second-quarter concussion. Cutler also sustained a concussion. The Bears, who had only two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster, prepared for the possibility Cutler will not be available with the re-signing of veteran Josh McCown, who spent the training camp of 2011 with the 49ers.Veteran Jason Campbell will get the start if Cutler is not cleared. And that's a scenario Gore said he wishes does not happen."I hope Cutler plays," Gore said. "It'll be a good game. We want their best. I want Cutler to play. It looks like a playoff game. They have a great record. They're 7-2, we're 6-2-1. Two good teams. Monday night, everybody will be watching."We want their best shot. They're coming off a big loss and we (expletive) tied. Monday's game will determine which team takes the No. 2 seed in the NFC playoffs into the final six weeks of the regular season. The Atlanta Falcons (8-1) currently sit atop the NFC race.
