YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Nose tackle Isaac Sopoaga missed his second day of practice with left knee and ankle sprains and is looking doubtful for the 49ers' game Sunday against the New York Jets.Ricky Jean Francois is in line to start for Sopoaga, who sustained his injuries in the fourth quarter of the 49ers' game Sunday at the Minnesota Vikings. Jean Francois, a fourth-year player, started two games for the 49ers last season.
"They're both pretty similar," 49ers defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said. "Both are big, physical guys on the nose for us. Ricky's got a little more movement ability. Isaac has a little more stoutness to him. But I don't see a big difference in both guys. We expect Ricky to go out and play really good for us."Running back Brandon Jacobs (left knee) and wide receiver Ted Ginn (right ankle) are likely to be listed as questionable after both players were limited for the second day in a row.PARTICIPATION REPORTS49ers: NT Isaac Sopoaga (ankle, knee) did not practice; WR Ted Ginn (ankle), RB Brandon Jacobs (knee) were limited; LB Patrick Willis (ankle), P Andy Lee (hand) full practice.Jets: CB Darrelle Revis (knee) is out; WR Stephen Hill (hamstring), S LaRon Landry (heel) did not practice; RB John Connor (knee), TE Dustin Keller (hamstring), LB Bart Scott (toe), Eric Smith (hip, knee), LB Bryan Thomas (hamstring), WR Patrick Turner (hamstring) were limited; LB Nick Bellore (shoulder), CB Antonio Cromartie (shoulder), DT Mike Devito (calf), S LaRon Landry (heel), CB Ellis Lankster (back), C Nick Mangold (wrist), G Brandon Moore (hip), LB Calvin Pace (Achilles), DT Sione Pouhe (back), QB Mark Sanchez (back), G Matt Slauson (knee) CB Isaiah Trufant (ankle) full practice.
