Jacobs: Work-place tweets not about football

SANTA CLARA -- Running back Brandon Jacobs posted a series of statements on Twitter that warned his followers to carefully select their bosses.

When approached by CSNBayArea.com, Jacobs said those expressions had nothing to do with his job with the 49ers.

"People automatically assume it has something to do with this (expletive) sport," Jacobs said. "It's not. It's not. I have different companies, and different businesses. I got a life on the outside of football."

Minutes earlier Jacobs posted a tweet that read: "Never work in a place where you hate your boss so much, you should be happy at work YouLiveAndYouLearn"

Later, Jacobs expounded on another post, explaining he was referring to his brother. He wrote that his brother's boss makes him feel like he is the best thing since sliced bread, "but when the budget is shot, he is the first one to get laid off, same with 2 other people I know."
