YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- New York Jets coach Rex Ryan on Wednesday raved about two guys named Davis on the 49ers' offense. In a conference call with reporters who cover the 49ers, Ryan said he rates Vernon Davis as the top tight end in the NFL, ahead of New England's Rob Gronkowski. And he said Anthony Davis is already one of the top right tackles in the league.Ryan's Jets face the 49ers on Sunday in the Meadowlands. When asked which offensive player the Jets need to keep an eye on, Ryan chuckled."I think it's a long list," he said. "There's no question. If you're not looking at Vernon Davis, what are you kidding me? The guy runs a 4.3, the best tight end, the No. 1 tight end in football, in my opinion. You got that Gronkowski kid, but this guy is a 4.3 speed guy."Ryan also mentioned running back Frank Gore, quarterback Alex Smith and Michael Crabtree among the 49ers' other top offensive threats."There are a ton of weapons," Ryan said. "You almost have a 1, a 1A, a 1B and a 1C. . . And, quite honestly, it all starts up front, where they have the two Pro Bowl offensive lineman (Joe Staley was named to the NFC Pro Bowl team, while Mike Iupati was an alternate) and a kid who's going to be, in Anthony Davis."The 49ers traded up two spots in the 2010 NFL draft to select Anthony Davis at No. 11 overall. In his third season, Davis has gotten off to a good start. But Ryan is the first person to single him out for such lavish praise."In my mind, he's one of the premier right tackles in the game," Ryan said. "You got a guy who has all the athleticism that you look for. (He's) a power player, he finishes, he's good in pass protection, a tremendous athlete. I think he has all the tools."
