A whirlwind 2017 season for Nori Aoki continued on Monday.
A month after being traded by the Astros to the Blue Jays, the former Giants outfielder was designated for assignment by Toronto.
Aoki played in just 12 games for the Blue Jays. He hit .281/.294/.594 with three homers and eight RBI in his brief stint.

Houston traded Aoki along with outfielder Teoscar Hernandez to Toronto for pitcher Francisco Liriano on July 31.
The 35-year-old from Japan spent the 2015 season with the Giants. In 93 games, he hit .287/.353/.380 with 12 doubles, five homers and 26 RBI.
