Sergio Romo and Santiago Casilla are a combined 34-for-43 in save opportunities this season. (USATI)

Programming note: Rockies-Giants coverage starts today at 12 p.m. with Giants Pregame Live on Comcast SportsNet Bay Area

On Thursday morning, Giants manager Bruce Bochy joined the "Murph & Mac" show on KNBR 680-AM and delivered some news.

Moving forward, both Santiago Casilla and Sergio will get opportunities to close games for San Francisco.

Romo opened the season as the team's closer, but after blowing his fifth save of the year on June 28, he was replaced by Casilla.

From June 29 to Aug. 11, Casilla converted all eight of his save opportunities.

However, he took the losses on Aug. 12 and Aug. 15, and prior to Buster Posey's walk-off home run in the bottom of the ninth Wednesday night, he blew a save in the top half of the frame.

Romo, meanwhile, is 2-0 with a 2.08 ERA in 19 appearances since his demotion.

He's allowed just 15 baserunners (11 hits, four walks) in 17.1 innings over that stretch, and recorded his only save opportunity

One interesting note: Three of Romo's five blown saves this season came against the Rockies.

Should the Giants lead Colorado entering the ninth inning this afternoon, will Romo get the chance to exorcise some demons?
