The Dodgers placed starting catcher A.J. Ellis on the 15-day disabled list on Monday with a sprained right ankle.

Ellis told reporters that he sustained the injury during the on-field celebration following Josh Beckett's no-hitter on Sunday in Philadelphia.

Tim Federowicz was recalled from Triple-A Albuquerque to replace Ellis.
