The Miami Marlins traded starting pitcher Ricky Nolasco to the Los Angeles Dodgers today, the team officially announced.
The Dodgers also received $197,000 in international bonus pool money.
The Giants were reportedly interested in the Marlins' right-hander, as well, offering two pitching prospects. However, sources said they were only willing to pay for a portion of the $5.7 million left on Nolasco's contract. The Dodgers will pay the entire $5.7 million.
