INSIDE THE MATCHUP

- The Giants have won six of their last seven games. San Francisco has won both road series this season (2-1 at LA, 3-1 at ChC). The Giants' 9-4 start is their best 13-game start since 2003 (12-1).

- The Brewers lost two-of-three over the weekend at St. Louis and were shutout in losses on Friday and Saturday. Milwaukee had gone 50 consecutive innings without a home run when Ryan Braun hit a two-run shot on Sunday in the eighth inning to start the Brewers' comeback at St. Louis from a 3-0 deficit (Milwaukee tied it in the ninth inning and then won it in the 10th 4-3).

- The Giants have won three consecutive series versus the Brewers (won two-out-of-three in all three series). San Francisco has won 10 of the last 14 games in Milwaukee.

- Hunter Pence owns more than half of San Francisco's home runs (4-out-of-7) and stolen bases (3-out-of-5).

- Jean Segura has at least one hit in nine of 10 games played this season. In the only game Segura did not record a hit he was 0-for-2 and left the game after four innings with a bruised left quad.

- The Giants have won 16 consecutive Barry Zito starts (including three starts in the 2012 postseason). Zito is personally 11-0 with a 2.93 ERA in the 16 starts. Zito is 0-4 with a 7.67 ERA in seven career starts at Miller Park.
