LOS ANGELES –- The Giants hadn’t seen Zack Greinke as a Dodger until Thursday night. He was on the DL early in the season and they happened to miss him until now.
They already have historically bad history against Clayton Kershaw. The last thing they need is another frontline pitcher they can’t solve. They only scored one run off him in six innings, on Hunter Pence’s opposite-corner home run. But at least they can feel good about working deep counts and making Greinke exit after throwing 107 pitches.
“He’s got good stuff. He’s a frontline starter,” Bochy said. “We had good at-bats to get his count up there. He’s going to be a force for them because he’s got great stuff."
