PROGRAMMING NOTE: Giants Pregame Live begins at 6:30 on CSN Bay Area, followed by Giants-Dodgers at 7:15, with Giants Postgame Live immediately after the final out.

With Xavier Nady out with a strained hamstring, and Gregor Blanco struggling at the plate, Bruce Bochy is doing something he hasn't done since Sep. 27, 2011: starting Brandon Belt in left field.

Belt started 30 games in left field for the Giants in 2011, including 26 of the team's final 36 games.

He needs to be in the lineup, considering the fact he is hitting .362 (42-116) over his last 37 games.
